Youth Speak Collective’s distance-learning partnership with Cero Coso Community College gives high school students an opportunity to earn high school and college credits by completing college coursework online with the help of academic coaches. The program aims to motivate and encourage students to realize their full potential and to continue on to higher education.
At Youth Speak Online! students engage in a rigorous academic curriculum that requires reading college level text, essay writing, and online discussion of course material. Students who successfully complete the courses earn high school and/or community college credit. Earning the additional credit has allowed students to make up any academic deficiencies at the high school level. Participation in the course provides students with the opportunity to experience college level coursework and study habits.
