Youth Speak Collective THRIVE Family Development Network is a community-based program whose mission is to provide strength-based family development services in the Northeast San Fernando Valley. Through this program parents better understand their role and shared responsibility in supporting their child’s educational development.
Our family coaches and community mentors (promotoras) offer one-on-one support to families and youth by engaging them in positive youth advocacy and family activities. In collaboration with our strong network of community partners, our program offers individual support, classes and workshops in employment, education, and financial literacy as families achieve their dreams and become economically, emotionally, and physically stronger.
All families have the right to develop skills and abilities in order to function effectively in an increasingly complex, diverse, and rapidly changing world. The goal is to assure that our families develop a significant base of knowledge and skills, and a broad ability to communicate effectively in a complex society.
