Youth Speak Collective’s 9th grade academy is a summer program to facilitate the academic and social transition from middle school into high school.
Youth entering high school are exposed to a new environment where there are numerous guidelines and expectations that they need to meet in order to graduate from a California High School.
The 9th grade academy assists students in:
- Building high school level math and English skills
- Developing organizational and leadership skills
- Teaching communication skills and conflict resolution skills
