Volunteering
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Youth Speak Collective. To help you make a selection for placement within our organization a brief description of our needs are below.
Workshop Facilitators - Organize a workshop for youth based on a hobby, activity or specific interest geared toward high school aged youth. This activity would be scheduled in advance and would take place in the weekday afternoon or evening hours.
Mentors- Individuals are needed to mentor youth within a variety of our after school programs.
Internship placement- YSC is looking for internship placements for youth to gain experience working in a professional environment.
Service Professionals – YSC is looking for professionals (graphic designers, photographers, musicians, artists, computer technicians, etc.) who are able to volunteer their time on an event or project.
Fundraiser Host – YSC is looking for someone willing to host, plan or organizer a fundraising or awareness event at their home.

Internships
Currently Youth Speak Collective is accepting applications for summer, spring or fall internships. All interns need to be at least 16 years of age. All internship opportunities are not paid but participants can receive class or community service hours for interning.
The ideal internship candidate will be:
- A self-starter with the ability to work successfully with little supervision
- Enthusiastic, detail-oriented and eager to learn
- Each internship requires a commitment of 4 hours a week
The Public Relations Intern will be directly involved in the areas of promotion, marketing and community relations and community outreach.
The Fundraising and Development Intern will be directly involved in the areas of fundraising, grant research, grant writing and development.
The Youth and Community Outreach Intern will be directly involved with the high school youth, families and community members that YSC serves.
